Interesting idea about bonding the nose gear door hinge to the bottom of
the fuse as opposed to inside the tunnel...  I think in order to make it
work you would find that you need to do several things:

1)  Lower the gear door cylinder a bit to provide the extended reach that's
going to be needed... this will entail the installation of a new hardpoint
into the side of the nosegear tunnel below the existing hardpoint.

2)  Make the gear door control horn taller and mount it closer to the
center of the door... an interesting benefit is that there will be more
mechanical advantage holding the door closed with a repositioned control
horn. 3)  Change the length of the cylinder sleeve to allow the extra travel the
cylinder will require... that one's a no brainer, as there's plenty of
travel available with the stock cylinder.  I think the spring will also
need to be shortened a bit as well, but that will be dependent on the final
geometry of the new layout and how much travel will actually be required.
