 I am looking at building a Legacy right now as well!  The price on the
 IO-550 just went up 7% or 3500$ in January, so it's $49k now.  I was
 looking at putting a Superiou XP-360 in for less than 24k.  So I'm
 interested in all these issues as well.  Weight and balance would be
 among them.  But it seems like a hybrid Legacy RG with the small engine
 would have a lot of appeal.
