While we're on the radio subject, I have always had an odd problem.  At higher frequencies, generally in the 130's (channels), when I key the mic I get some noise and all kinds of things going on in the headset.  My reception is fine and transmission is OK I guess (they always hear me).  Any suggestions?

I agree.  Using certain peculiar fregs above and near 130.000 it is most likely there will be noises, static etc. You see, Arnie and I don't fly close enough yet to actually see the different hand and finger signals - thus we must use the *&%#@* radio with FCC/FAA approved language expressions clarifying post-maneuver analysis while air-filing the NASA form.
