According to the International Society of Air Safety Investigators, inflight fire temperatures (due to forced draft effect) range from 3000 degrees F and upwards. I have investigated engine fires on GE 404 (F/A-18 Hornet) that exceeded 5000 degrees F (burning Titanium).
