Another product that works for removing silicone is naptha gas, or just go buy a container of camp fuel that usually is mostly naptha gas.  Naptha is a great cleaner for cleaning surfaces in preparation for applying silicone.  Pure naptha evaporates off without residue (camp fuel usually has some additives) and is especially good for 'priming' acrylic and lexan type surfaces for silicone.
