Re the inquiry about
gauges: I've tried to stick with all-electric airplanes on my last two,
and have not had very good experience with the RC Allen gyros. Their
warranty policy is strange: It's one year from the manufacture date, not
your purchase date, so if it's been on the shelf someplace for a while, you may
only have a few months of warranty time. I've had two or three of the four
I've purchased that have died right out of the box, or within a few hours of
use. If you want to pay the price, Mid-Continent now make an electric
attitude gyro with battery backup.
As for the Tru-Trak autopilots,
they're the best buy on the market. Capable, easy to install, and less
expensive.
