Darry
Greenamyer has a plenum on his #33 Legacy that he races at Reno. Not only does
it cool very well, I think Darryl would be the first to say that the cooling
drag reduction it provides is one of the reasons he goes as fast as he
does.
I
think that the points made about poor baffling vs. good baffling can be be said
about a plenum.
George,
Very interesting that you mentioned the plenum on the RV-8.
I was thinking of going in that direction with my Lancair 360, but the
previous owner says the current baffle setup is pretty good. In fact, my cht's
on the O-360 run about 300-325. I guess I can cut down the inlet and outlet
areas to cut some drag (I'm interested in racing...)
Thanks for sharing another viewpoint.
