Chris -
I had a bottle of PVA on the shelf that came with the Glasair that I started and then sold. Recently, we have had/decided to make molds for some parts of the Lancair ES we are building. Just about everything we tried ended with the total destruction of the mold.
Yesterday, we wanted to build a couple of boxes for the batteries and were using the metal jacket that came with a similar battery. Destroying this mold would be very hard to do so I decided to paint a couple of coats of PVA on the metal. the 2 BID shell released like it had been greased. We did the second one and got the same results. It beats wax, tape and tape, and gelcoat.
Cheers,
John

Unless I missed it, I haven't seen anyone mention PVA.
