Michael,
Enjoy the cool CHTs. I don't think this is a problem until the CHTs get
down below 250F. But, what were your MP, Fuel Flow, and RPM settings, and altitude? Cool weather is usually an invitation to run the engine a bit harder, and
that is OK, provided you stay appropriately well lean of peak. I would be very, very careful about winter baffles. I have seen many to
many situations in which they create hot spots, rather than uniformly cooler
CHTs.
