Hey N295VV:

Step back and take a deep breath. First off, I believe that Lancair has addressed
the "problem" you refer to with SB044-0998, I would like to note that the "problem"
only becomes a problem when the builder screws up in aligning the flap actuator
assembly.

As pilot in command you are ultimately responsible for the safe operation of the
aircraft and as builder you are ultimately responsible for the airworthyness of
your aircraft. If you find or make a mistake or fail to see or anticipate a
problem, don't run around yelling "The plane is falling, the plane is falling!". It
is far better to state your case in a reasonable and fair manner and you will see
that assistance will be willingly offered.

Regarding your comment about "don't anyone from the factory contact me and tell me
to tone down my criticism --I will not have any of it" I would remind you that this
is a public forum and anyone is free to comment, as you have already demonstrated.

If you would like some assistance or advice, please describe the problem you are
having and I am confident  than someone on this list can help. Focusing on fixing
the problem instead of fixing the blame you will get a lot more out of people.

Regards
Brent Regan

Hey Lancair, how about admitting and addressing this problem before someone
is killed?  Your new potential insurance carrier wont hang around long if
people start dying......the poopoo factor is going to come back and bite you
in the ass someday.

Have a nice day flying everyone....is your child sitting above that bell
crank that might have grooves in the flap pushrod tube?

And don't anyone from the factory contact me and tell me to tone down my
criticism--I will not have any of it--I have seen too many guys die from
stupid engineering lately. You are aware of this problem, have not addressed
it, and when it kills someone, you are liable.   Have a nice day.
