First off, I believe that Lancair has addressed the "problem" you refer to with SB044-0998, I would like to note that the "problem" only becomes a problem when the builder screws up in aligning the flap actuator assembly. As pilot in command you are ultimately responsible for the safe operation of the aircraft and as builder you are ultimately responsible for the airworthyness of your aircraft. If you find or make a mistake or fail to see or anticipate a problem, don't run around yelling "The plane is falling, the plane is falling!". It is far better to state your case in a reasonable and fair manner and you will see that assistance will be willingly offered. Regarding your comment about "don't anyone from the factory contact me and tell me to tone down my criticism --I will not have any of it" I would remind you that this is a public forum and anyone is free to comment, as you have already demonstrated. If you would like some assistance or advice, please describe the problem you are having and I am confident than someone on this list can help. Focusing on fixing the problem instead of fixing the blame you will get a lot more out of people.
