A few months back some flyer told me of a company that was rebuilding one
time run twin-turbo Continental engines. They were flowing the heads and
other tricks to deal with the overheating/valve problems that sometimes occur
in the stock twin-turbo BIB-550 Continental engines.
I recall them saying that they balance to 1 gram vs. the factory balance
tolerance of 28 grams which results in a much smoother running engine.
Do you know who this company is? Website, tel. number, etc?
Please advise. If unknown please put this question to your Lancair List
membership. Hopefully we can find the answer.
Thank you for your time and kind consideration of these matters,
Sincerely,
Dr. D.C. Cox
