Gentlemen, I am in need of advice from the 'been there, done that ' crowd. In preparing to rebuild the front of my canopy(ie. remove the glass and foam stiffener and replace it with carbon fiber and foam) for the forward hinge option I am unsure which uni-graphite material would be best. Aircraft Spruce sells an E-glass uni-directional cloth(part # ra7715) that looks ideal but it doesn't come in graphite. What have others used?

 Also when removing the old foam stiffener should I replace it with one the same size or modify it? Any problems with later fit?
