You would not have to worry about the prop starting to wind mill again if you managed to get it stopped.  From twin piston engine training from years back,  it takes a very large increase in airspeed to get the prop windmilling again.  On the TSIO-550 it would probaly be atleast 200 kts.  This speed is listed in some twin engine re-start checklists.

  Glad you had your wits about you in the incident you described.  I wonder, though, if the Lancair IV-P best glide speed is so fast the prop may start turning again.  When you find out please let us know.
