Ditto what Mark said regarding his Electroair ignition.
Mine missed at high RPM/high manifold pressure. Then on the way to
Oshkosh last year, it just crapped out totally every time the the engine got
up to operating temperature in the climb. I talked to several other
builders that had Electroair units and they'd all experienced problems to
one degree or another. I finally gave up on mine and replaced it with a
Lightspeed ignition after limping home from Oshkosh on my mag. It's
performed flawlessly.
My understanding is that Jeff Rose is no longer selling the Electroair
units due to a supplier problem, but if he is, I'd steer clear of them.
