Have a prop strike-- replace the blades, hub, teardown the engine, inspect the crank-- why the indignity of it all...
Now imagine you had a prop strike and didn't do the above inspections and went on your merry way and the prop hub failed or the crank let go. Who do you suppose your widow would sue? You or the engine/ prop shop?
