Learning the differences between the forecasting models and the inputs
that go into each one gives you a feel for their limitations. There is a
lot of information in Skew-T plots...

great predictor of convective activity. Will there be morning fog?

tools like bufkit, that the forecasters use when they prepare the TAFs.
Use radar to see sunset move across the country and watch bats leaving
their caves :-)  this is good stuff, worth a shameless plug.
