      Recurrent training is mandated by the airlines, and is generally a good thing.  Any of us who has the attitude that they are such a good pilot that they don't need further training, is simply harboring a dangerous idea. I have never encountered that attitude from any of the airline pilots I flew with.
       My comments may appear more polite after reading the FAA's comments in their enforcement letter.  I certainly didn't say 'careless and wreckless'.  But I'm sure if you tell the FAA that you take offense at their enforceent, they will probably drop the whole thing.
