Recurrent training is mandated by the airlines, and is generally a good thing. Any of us who has the attitude that they are such a good pilot that they don't need further training, is simply harboring a dangerous idea. I have never encountered that attitude from any of the airline pilots I flew with. My comments may appear more polite after reading the FAA's comments in their enforcement letter. I certainly didn't say 'careless and wreckless'. But I'm sure if you tell the FAA that you take offense at their enforceent, they will probably drop the whole thing. Fly safe, D. Story
