In response to the question on cameras used to take photos, I provide the
following:
The pictures I took of my brake system modification were shot with a Nikon
Cool Pix 700 digital camera on the "fine" resolution scale. This setting
results in image file sizes of around 400k. Some were shot with a flash
and others not, depending on the back lighting. Also, there are a few
shot in the "macro" mode depending on how close I needed to get to the
subject.
After shooting the pictures, I upload them into my computer and then view
and adjust them using a program called ArcSoft Photo Studio. Sometimes
I'll adjust the brightness or contrast to get a better image. Lastly, I
resample the photos to standard VGA size of 640x480 for emailing and
posting on the web.
I hope this is not too confusing for those still using a Brownie camera.
