FWIW, I would not recommend King GPS. I have both the
KLN 89B and a KLX 136A (GPS/COM). The mfgr has designed a nasty little surprise into both units. The internal memory is powered by a small 3-volt battery which is soldered thru a double-sided Printed Wining board. The battery can only be replaced by a certified King Avionics shop. Each battery costs $ 200 to replace plus a trip to the King Dealer.
Both of my units required a battery replacement prior to first flight. BUMMER
