I wonder what your radio shop would do with my altimeter.  It was built in
1943 for the Army Air Corp long before there were any TSO regulations.  It
was built by a REAL instrument maker; C.G. Conn in Elkhart, Indiana as part
of the war effort. Still works very well 60 years later. It was the original
equipment Altimeter in by 1948 Bellanca and is certified for use with my
encoding altimeter.

My radio shop would not do the 24 month check on my altimeter because
it wasn't on there list of certifiable altimeters. So... I think that
you should ask whoever is going to do your 24 month checks.
