Asked the same question myself about 2 years ago. Received all sorts of answers but the best solution seemed to be not to have any window framing at all; just to let the head liner frame the windows.
A L-IV landed at Tracy about 6 months ago and I had a chance to checkout the headliner. The owner told me that the headliner was 2 separate pieces separated by the overhead console and held in place by velcro. Each window opening had a switched border that gave it a very finished look. It really looked nice.
About 2 months later, a "velocity" also landed at Tracy with the same type headliner. Also looked good. Owner had good thngs to say; i.e., - no problems-. This time I asked where the upholstry was done and talked to the upholstry guy myself. Decided to go with the velcro approach. Installation scheduled for March with a backup date of April. More info then. Regards,
