You've probably already handled this issue, but just in case: Ron Mowrer (Rocky Mountain Instruments) specifically addresses the problem of compressibility with respect to the location of the OAT probe, and suggests that, in order to avoid temp rise at hi IAS, to locate the probe in an area of very low airflow (like inside a wheel well, for example).
Just a thought.
