Shannon,
The two driving reasons for my attitude on the topic are:
1) A reversed spool valve holds little relevance on your hydraulic
system functionality (IMHO).
2) A seal kit costs $30 and takes minimal time to rebuild. This is white noise compared to all the headaches and pain involved in
building a plane. I built wooden overcenter links that I used for 8
months while building because Lancair did have mine built. The
scalloping of the tail also was a huge undertaking to fit the MK II
tail. If I were going to raise heck about kit manufacturer errors I would
choose bigger, more cost and effort intensive topics. To me it's all
about choosing (or ignoring) your battles. Fighting this one had no
interest to me. Larry
