For those of you with Lancair IV doors, if you have been flying for more
than a couple of years you will know that the gas strut on the door poops
out over time--usually first noticed in cool weather.  A direct replacement
I use is from NAPA Auto parts, P/N BK.819-5522.  This has 120lb of pressure
in the strut, somewhat stronger than the 90lb one from the Lancair factory.
Not sure if the same strut is used on the new prefab doors, as mine is a
1997 vintage.  Thought you all might like to keep the part # handy...  Cost?
