First let me thank Dan Obrien for bringing the H. stabilizer incidence
mistake in the manual to light, without his input I may have not received
this info until it was to late.
On that note, let me point out a few other manual mistakes that I have had
the misfortune of discovering the hard way. First  in section I,  aileron
actuator mechanism page 9-49 .  when you remove the core
on rib BL145.5  you should consider  placing  your forward cut at 5" aft of
the L.E. not at 6" as indicated in the manual. The reason for this is  that
the mounting  hole location on the bellcrank  mounting  bracket
would put your nutplates smack dab in the center of your  microradius,
and this is a large radius because of the 8 bid reinforcement. after finding
this problem I called the factory and they said to simply move the bellcrank
aft to compensate.  This I did. BIG mistake.
I have constructed my wings with the two extra fuel bays per wing .as Im
sure many of you have also done.
Now because of this mistake in the manual my aileron pushrods interfered
with my outboard fuel bay. Man was I pissed!!!.
the only reasonable solution I could come up with was to remove the core on
the fuel bay rib in the interference area and reinforce it with a large and
heavy 3 bid. This all wasted about 15-20 hours of my time.
An earlier mistake in the manual I ran into was in section A chapter 8
flap hinge locations, page 8-7 . Figure 8:A:4 shows the hinge at BL120 to be
set at 14 degrees. This angle can not be achieved without cutting the hinge
itself (DO NOT CUT) you will have to come up with your own  angles.
These are but two of the many manual mistakes that I have run into so far
,while I  expect some mistakes in a manual this large,I also expect them to
be corrected when they are discovered., and I know lancair is aware of the
mistakes. One time saving solution for Lancair
would be to post the correction on this website, Even better would be to
have and attachment sent with the corrections that we could print out and
put in out manuals.
