Don Gordon was asking about those fittings that fit the threads on a
standard Lycoming mechanical fuel pump.
Yes indeedy, those suckers are not your garden variety fittings. For
one thing, they transition from whatever threads are in the pump to an
AN flare. It's been a while since I looked at mine but they are steel
(very important!) and if I remember, there was an O-ring at the junction
between the pump and fitting. In any case, you need these! In fact, they
ought to be included as part of the Lycoming bits and pieces (fat chance!).
I'm also almost positive that I got mine at A.C. Spruce. I would have
to look but I believe they even picture the fittings in their pages.
Next time I'm down at the hangar, I'll double check and report back.
