I did about the same thing in my tail except with the super long
antenna.  Nice photo of great workmanship btw.  It barely fit and does
affect my access to my elevator bellcrank area.  

I would say bond it and move on!

But........If you're really looking for the perfect answer get an
avionics guy over there and do some VSVWR (whatever that means) testing.
This might help you sleep at night.

I didn't bother and it works absolutely great with my Handheld Icom
radio.
