Boy, I wish I was a good enough pilot so that my superior skills would keep me out of danger. I'll bet these guys don't have seat belts, ELTs or insurance.....don't need them as they will be able to avoid all the nasty situations where they would be put to use.
Personally, whenever I get in an airplane it is with the assumption that the pilot is an idiot. I want all the weapons that I can get so that WHEN I do something stupid I can try to fight my way out until the last thing through my mind is the rudder. I don't want to be staring at the ground with the airspeed pegged thinking "Wish I hadn't done THAT...now what do I do??"
You don't need to practice stalls every time you fly to keep it "reflexive". Once you know what to do it stays with you, just like riding a bicycle.
Remember, this is just the opinion of a fool who, I am sure you will agree, isn't nearly as good a pilot as the reader.
Regards
