Robert, you need stronger springs. Had the same problem, solved it with more
spring. However, I had to devise a method of adjusting the tightness of the
trim lever to avoid back-travel. Installed a small lever on the head of the
trim lever pivot bolt so I could tighten or loosen the tension as needed.
