Jarrett Johnson's comment that:
"....people are a bit scared to stall their a/c, in conjunction w/ the fact
that most Lancairs have a tendency to drop a wing in a stall, leading to a
spin."
is, to my mind, a bit off base.
My 235 doesn't drop a wing as long as I keep the ball close to the center,
and I have several friends flying Lancairs that don't exhibit the wing-drop
in the stall, either.
Are we just the exception, rather than the rule?
I'm sure that since many Lancairs could be slightly off in rigging, due to
the fact that they're built without the niceties of factory jigs (true of
any home-built). Some will have uncertain stall characteristics but I think
it's a builder, rather than a design artifact.
