<DIV><FONT color=#000000>The compulsory nose gear retrofit referred to in SB#9 of 2/15/88 was another crutch to make the original rubber donut nose gear tolerable. It diddled the Belleville washers and I believe swapped aluminum casings.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT color=#000000>The 1K retrofit is a replacement of the whole nose gear assembly with an oleo strut like the 320 uses but not interchangable with the 320.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT color=#000000></FONT> Suggest you contact William Bartlett (<A href="mailto:wtbart@olympus.net">wtbart@olympus.net</A>) before using the old rubber donut nose gear even with Lancair's free fixes. He has made it work longer than anyone else I know of. Most of us with 235s paid the 1k for the oleo strut which really does kill the problems.</DIV>
