Guys,

Jet jocks beware when comparing an L-39 with the LIVs for true cross country machines.   Most of these former military jets are approved only for flights FROM and TO point A.  Yes, that means takeoff and return-to-landing at your home airport.  The FAA does allow exceptions, but only rarely.
