   On second thought, what seemed like a neat idea (to use another reed
switch on the LNC2 flap motor to give a flaps down indication) may not
work very well. The reed switch closes (or opens) only when the magnetic
tip on the slide rod is in close proximity. It has a fairly narrow range
of sensitivity. If the switch were positioned to close at, say, ten
degrees of flap, fifteen degrees of flap would give a flaps up
indication again. Not good. It is unlikely the third reed switch could
be positioned close enough to the flaps up position to work as Jim
Frantz suggests, as the up limit switch is already there and its spade
lugs would force the new switch to stay some distance away from the full
up position. Now if you could use the normally open terminal on the
existing switch . . . . . .
