<< Lancair Builders' Mail List >>
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<--->>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Why thanks Curtis, I find it funny to be quoted at the
end of your unpleasant email, I after all only have
500 hrs. total time out of which about half are in a
Mooney. My dad, who will also be flying the lancair
has less than 200 ! We don't even come close to the
1500 hrs. minimum demanded by the insurance companies.
I however consider myself socio-economically fortunate
considering my previous $150 per month job (yes, you
read it right), and take it upon me to reply on behalf
of everyone else in our elite club.
Tell us the truth: You have two friends who your
instructor thinks are equally good pilots. Only, one
of them has about 20,000 hours flying all types of
different aircrafts whereas the other one only has
about 200. Which one of the two would you lend your
precious machine to ? What makes you think the
insurance companies would think differently ?
No offense meant,
Regards, fili
Look...I gotta tell you all. If you're going to have
some kind of elite requirements for some elite
association....then you can count me out. <snip>
