Thermawing is just about finished with their new de-icing system which has
been developed in the NASA icing research lab and wind tunnel on, among
others, a Lancair 300 wing. They are working closely with the factory and
will have a prototype IVP flying iin a week or two. Their system appears
to be a better, lighter and cheaper answer than the TKS system. For more

is Bob Rutherford who is extremely knowledgeable about icing and Lancairs.
