One solution is to use standard X-10 home automation components. If you have
an existing phone line into your hangar, you can use the pone receiver and
one of the control modules listed below. Setup shouldn't take more than an
hour and the finished system will cost about $75 plus shipping.

There are other providers of X-10 components besides the one above, this is
