I wanna be able to turn on the sump heater on my 0-360 remotely from
my house.
I'm thinking of a device that will respond to a radio, or better yet
a phone or
cell phone;
Andy,
If you want to build it, I know of one gadget. It's the Phone Line
Transponder, by Weeder Technologies in Walton Beach, FL. Only one
problem, I don't know if they still sell the kit. I have sent Terry an
e-mail to find out.
Terry Weeder wrote an article about his device in the January 1998
issue of "NUTS & VOLTS". It answers a telephone, requires a DTMF
password to enable it, then you have access to 7 functions from your
touchtone phone. Four are toggle type and three are momentary action. This thing can do a lot more too. You can even have it call you.If you are
interested, send me an e-mail and I'll give you the details.
