as a starting new builder of a ivp turbine, the insurance mess has me concerned. although i knew that i could never get the coverage that i have on my bellanca super viking i fully expected to be at least able to obtain modest liability coverage and hull if i so desired to spend the money.i think it is important to band together as a group to market ourselves to the insurance industry. many can do what one cannot.  count me in for additional
training/inspection on my ivpt(once it is built-which i suspect will be a number of years away). i would  hope that the turbine would be included in the
insurance mix.  even when avemco covered ivp's i don't
think that they would write a turbine policy.  also, it would make sense
to have this group for all lancair models.  with less than 200 flying iv's i suspect that it will be difficult to find 100 to participate.opening the program to all lancair models should increase the numbers significantly as well as our clout for dealing with the insurance industry. thanks to those interested in starting this worthwhile endeavor.
