I wanna be able to get up at 6:00 AM, see its a good day for flying, turn on
the heater from my kitchen, get to the airport at 8:00 to a nice warm engine,
do you currently have a phone line in your hanger or pager subscription?
that costs money!!.. Thought about a ham radio solution, but what works best is a radio shack 7 day timer.. it comes on at 6am (don't
even hafta wake up!) on Saturday and Sunday and off at noon on all
days (thermal shutoff on the sump heater).
if there is a weekday trip, I stop the night before and program a new on time.
also if you even wondered if a preheator was better than
a sump heater, I did a graph a few years ago in http://rob.com/cht/oil/
