With the push rods, I cut a circular hole in the wet suit material and cut a slit for the gear door actuators. I was initially concerned that the material might bind a rod or jam in a hole. Given the nature of the 3/8" thick material, however, I've decided that is unlikely. I plan to monitor the installation closely for wear and glue failure where bonded to the closeout rib.
