I'd have to agree with some of the others. The first time you're alone in that stuff it's "for real". I was on my way to the Outback Bowl last year with my wife and in-laws aboard, and got dropped down into to hard IFR (not my first time though :) ) . No sweat...because about 3 days before, I went up with my regular instructor and did about 2 hours of actual. Always keep your training up, it's really easy to slip. I was fortunate in the fact that I had a lot of actual IFR time in my training. Made my first time alone not so bad. I have had the "leans" before...I just trust in the panel. That's all you can do. If you fly by what your ass is telling you, you'll dig a hole.
