I have the MKII tail with electric trim. Here's what I found with out of
trim flight. Set up in stabalized normal cruise pitch attitude then touch
the trim button a short tap, pitch changes, attempt to control to normal
cruise pitch and you will discover the stick forces are very pronounced. It
appears to me that the stresses on the pushrod, rivits etc. in tension are
tremendous. What would the forces be if the trim ran to the full stop?
Heaven forbid if that should happen to you. Try this simple test and take
as far as you dare. You will probably come away with the conclusion that you
do not want to be in that aircraft for obvious reasons.
