I am also considering a change as well. Just curious as to what are the rest of your avionics? If you went all Garmin, did you still need the ARINC 429 Bus controller so that it would all talk to each other. And are you ADS-B in and out?

I replaced my entire 360 panel (and autopilot) with G3X and Garmin autopilot...worked flawlessly since day 1. It's been in now for about 18 months with approx. 75 hours of flying. Flies courses and approaches flawlessly. I would not hesitate to put the same set up (probably 3 screens) in a Lancair IV Berni Breen Sent from my iPhone I’m planning to redo my IV-P Panel with a G3X system and I’m considering autopilot options. Does anyone have experience with Garmin’s autopilot for the G3X in a IV or IV-P (or IV-PT)? I’m wondering whether the servos have enough torque to properly operate the control surfaces at cruise speeds. Thanks, Jay Phillips
