I placed the pump in my plane in the back of the co-pilot seat.  This has worked out great  with an access panel behind the seat cushion.  Batteries are in the header tank, not used for gas.

 Any comments on locating the hyd pump over (attached) to the nose-wheel
enclosure hump, are sincerely appreciated. I have good clearance between the
top of the enclosure and the forward deck. Plumbing is simpler with none in
the push-rod tunnel, as in original design. Access is perfect, for filling or
maintenance.  Maybe a CG problem, but none foreseen with my batts behind the
pass seat.
