No need for a purge valve....

But in case anyone disagrees, I have 2 new Air Flow Performance purge valves for sale at 80% of current list price.

Here is a foolproof hot start procedure which I use on my Mooney's Lycoming IO360.

1) Throttle & mixture full forward for 10 to 15 seconds
2) Mixture cut off & throttle at 1000 RPM point
3) Without pause, immediately crank while slowly advancing the mixture
     -if rich firing, pause enrichment
     -if lean (immediately roars to life), continue enrichment

Step 1) clears the fuel vapors
Step 2) & 3) Starts before vapors reform
