Orin Riddell turbo normalized an IO-360 in his
plane around 1998. From my recollection, he had some cooling
issues and the heat from the turbo blistered his cowl paint due to tight
clearances. This was done like a prototype, but Lancair never offered it
as an option. Too much work and too expensive. Orin eventually sold
the plane to start working on a IV-P. Don't know who owns it
now.
