I too was concerned about the condensation but have not found it a problem. In S Indiana we have lots of humidity so it should have raised its ugly head. Perhaps, the short use time prevents much accumulation (used in taxi, climb & descent). If a problem, an additional smaller drain line could be used. Larger ice containers would increase use time and might require a drain. Most FBOs have ice too. I carry a hose to pump the 'used' water overboard w/o removing the ice chest.
I did not shop for other evaporative coils. The ebay price was too attractive since the guy was parting out the Rabbit for junk prices. Probably other coils would work OK too.

I see both supply and return water lines in your two pics, but how do you deal with condensation on the evaporator coil?
If you can't collect that moisture and drain it into the ice container, my guess is that in a high humidity environment, you'd have a pretty damp and clammy cockpit atmosphere. Is this not an issue here? Did you look for a smaller evaporative coil?
