OK, OK, I've promised to measure my RG battery charging voltage (as
recommended by the guru's at Concorde) before and haven't done it because of
the low temperatures in my hangar. Things have been wet and drippy here for
the last few days but I will post the set voltage as soon as possible. In
fact, I'm hoping to be able to fly tomorrow, assuming the Coeur d'Alene
weather clears enough to be flyable and, if so, will get the charging
parameters then.
What I do remember is that the voltage is surprisingly higher than one might
think. I mentioned to Jim Franz that I thought I remembered 13.8 v but the
recent post on the subject mentioned 14.7 v. To put this to bed, I will get
and post the setting on my airplane, which is in compliance with the
Concorde folks.
